Wiwynn Announces Wiwynn® Cluster Manager with NVMe Pooling Based on Intel® Rack Scale Design

Taipei, Taiwan – Oct. 25, 2017 –Wiwynn, an innovative cloud IT infrastructure provider of high quality computing and storage products, plus rack solutions for data centers, announced the availability of Wiwynn® Cluster Manager with NVMe pooling based on Intel® Rack Scale Design (Intel® RSD). Data center operators can benefit from the real-time resource management as well as the flexibility and efficiency of bare-metal hardware composition. The technology details can be found in the recently published whitepaper.

Wiwynn® Cluster Manager is a system software that makes the data center easier to manage with features such as resource composability, massive firmware and OS deployment, and real-time rack level visual monitoring. Intel® RSD is an industry-aligned architecture that disaggregates hardware from preconfigured servers and deploys them in sharable resource pools. With the integrated solution and compliant IT equipment, data center operators can enjoy real-time resource management, agile node composition for required workloads, and optimized hardware utilization.

“Wiwynn is one of the first OEMs in the industry to deliver an Intel® RSD solution with physically disaggregated, high performance NVMe,” said Emily Hong, President at Wiwynn. “Wiwynn® Cluster Manager with Intel® RSD enables more customers to build modern data centers and utilize high performance storage and computing equipment with agility and efficiency.”

“Intel® RSD simplifies data center resource management and provides the ability to dynamically compose resources based on workload-specific demands,” said Figen Ulgen, General Manager of Intel Rack Scale Design.  “Wiwynn® Cluster Manager with Intel® RSD offers data center operators a flexible and economical solution for enabling advanced software defined data center capabilities based on open industry standards.”

Wiwynn will demonstrate Wiwynn® Cluster Manager with Intel® RSD on an OCP rack solution at the Intel APJ Cloud Summit from Oct. 26th to 27th in Tokyo, Japan for APAC customers. More product details and future roadmap can be found from the website and the recently published whitepaper.
