The ES200 is designed to be a stand-alone 2U Edge server with short depth of 450mm, which supports EIA-19” rack mount and especially for Telco 19” short rack. It is purposed to be a drop-in replacement under Telco environment that are not be modern as many recently built centralized datacenters that comes with standard facilities.
New Intel Xeon Scalable Processors with Built-in AI Acceleration
ES200 is one of Wiwynn’s Edge Computing platform series, which offers storage and I/O bays flexibility to switch by configurations. The system is reinforced by supporting dual-socket Intel 3rd Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors with up to 38 Cores & 270W TDP, up to 64 PCIe lanes and memory up to 16x DDR4 DIMMs. Featuring also are the Intel Deep Learning Boost built specifically for the flexibility to run complex AI workloads, Intel Speed Select for overall system workload performance increase and potential overall energy savings.
Flexible Configuration for Various Edge Computing including AI Workloads
ES200 is positioned as a computing intensive server with storage capacity and other accelerating capabilities on various application fields (e.g. Edge AI/Inference, Edge Storage etc.), hence, it is designed with flexibility of PCIe configuration and modular storage design for various workload needs. It supports multi-choice PCIe card configuration for wide-range edge use cases and services like autonomous driving, smart manufacturing, AR and VR etc. It supports up to 6x standard PCIe cards & two OCP NIC 3.0 Cards for NUMA balance, and storage modular design for user to choose different SKUs of EDSFF, U.2 SSD/HDD for different applications.
Compliance with NEBS-3 for Challenging Conditions
Designed as an edge computing server for communication service providers, ES200 is compliant to NEBS-3, which is a clear index that the hardware can endure varying and tough physical conditions. NEBS-3 comprises a number of guidelines for designing equipment that can be deployed where the operating conditions often are challenging. By compliant to NEBS-3, it is proved that ES200 is solid as a rock for edge environment.
Hot-swappable PSU & FAN and Front I/O for Easy Services
ES200 comes with all front-end PCIe & storage IO design which could expedite the services time at edge sites with limited space condition. At the rear, the system power is designed with 1+1 power redundancy to withstand single point of failure. Additionally, the system is equipped with 3+1 fan design which can effectively prevent fan fail at field side so as operator may have more time for scheduling maintenance. All these designs are poised to provide the best services and maintenance for the edge environment.
