Add to Calendar 11/10/2020 11:20 AM 11/10/2020 11:30 AM America/Los_Angeles Lightning Talk - ACS Cold Plate: ORV3 Blind Mate Liquid Cooled IT Gear / OCP Tech Week As part of the ORV3 Blind Mate Liquid Cooling Interfaces Group, development of interfaces and features for the IT gear to support blind mate connections is part of the focus within the group. This presentation discuses two key design components related to ORV3 IT gear blind mate liquid cooling features: (1) an ejector that facilitates the insertion and removal of the chassis from the ORV3 rack, and (2) a quick connector (QC) mounting module that houses and secures the male quick connector. We will provide an overview of the IT gear chassis design concept for ORV3 for liquid cooling with these components. Challenges around the unique requirements for an ejector system designed to work with blind mate quick connectors will be discussed. The unique features and goals of the QC mounting module will also be outlined. This effort has been a collaboration between Wiwynn and Facebook. After official validation, these designs will be contributed to OCP for future application. What can attendees expect to learn? 1. IT Gear design concept 2. So far, major contributors have chosen to use various open-source codebases such as OpenBMC as a baseline and have modified the code to support the northbound specification in order to conform to the OpenRMC standard. On the contrary, Wiwynn decided to use a proprietary proven stack and is currently engaged in software development to support Northbound specification using the existing Redfish stack. Add to Calendar 11/12/2020 07:30 PM 11/12/2020 07:50 PM America/Los_Angeles Delivering 5G FR1 SA Demo on openEDGE Platform / OCP Tech Week As 5G Stand Alone mode is the key technology to showcase the powerful performance of 5G application, Wiwynn is collaborating with Radisys, WNC, and Intel to build the 5G FR1 SA demo with “end-to-end” interconnection between RU, DU, CU, and CN. Wiwynn is using EP100 platform to integrate Radisys SW (MobilityEngine™ 5G RAN), WNC option 7-2 O-RU, and related Intel solution. EP100 is a 3U 5Node platform based on the OpenEdge Server concept. Each node can be configured or programmed as DU, CU, and CN in this demo. Users can put all functions such as DU, CU, CN, and MEC into one compact 3U enclosure. This is a good fit for 5G application.
